What is Building a Tennis Community?

Building a Tennis Community (BATC) provides tremendous benefits and customer service to clubs, park and recreation agencies, schools and other program providers. Through this unique partnership, USTA Middle States creates opportunities to earn financial support for equipment, uniforms, travel, program support and more for participating members

How does it work?

BATC allows USTA Middle States to collaborate with sites so they will incorporate the cost of a USTA membership into their annual dues or in to specific program fees. Through the sale of USTA memberships, BATC reallocates funds back to a specific facility through customized benefits to the organization or individual members.

Partnership packages are tailor made for each facility based on the number of memberships that been purchased and the length of the commitment.

USTA MS piloted the program in 2007 and the results have been outstanding. Through the first few years of the initiative, the section has received commitments from ten facilities, totaling more than 1,000 memberships.

Building a Tennis Community not only grows participation, program opportuntiies and awareness, but participants also reap the benefits of being a USTA member. The program was featured in the pages of NetPlay Magazine, click here to read more.
