MISSION STATEMENT - To provide financial grant support to grass roots tennis programs and competitive youth players with financial need. 

OVERVIEW
The Middle States Tennis Patrons’ Foundation, Inc., founded in 1973, is the fundraising and 501 (c) (3), not-for-profit charitable arm of USTA Middle States. Patrons invests in local communities annually throughout the Middle States section to grow tennis from the ground up. Patrons’ grants deliver $30,000 annually to juniors and tennis programs all across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and a portion of West Virginia.

Your gift goes to work to grow and to sustain grass roots tennis programs and to provide the means for high performance juniors with financial need to continue their competition at the highest national level of tournament tennis in the U.S.

Patrons raises gift support to fulfill its mission each year through an annual appeal letter, the USTA Middle States Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Auction and other major gifts and planned giving efforts. The USTA Middle States Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Auction is the largest event of the year for the section and the Patrons, both from a fundraising perspective and also recognition and honor.

The net proceeds from the Hall of Fame dinner are provided to the Patrons to assist it in its grant-awarding work. Hall of Fame proceeds are also then proportionately shared with the local host district and its grass roots tennis programs with financial need. STEWARDSHIP OF GIFTS

Patrons has very little administrative overhead and is largely managed by a volunteer board. Therefore, virtually all every dollar given goes directly to deserving tennis programs and junior players.

Patrons awards its money grants and FREE tennis racquets to primarily junior and school-based tennis programming and organizations.
