Czink Captures Singles and Doubles Crowns at Pittsburgh Challenger

Melinda Czink of Hungary completed a rare sweep on the USTA Pro Circuit, taking home championships in both the singles and doubles finals at the Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. $50,000 Women’s Challenger, held at the Oxford Athletic Club in Wexford, Pa. The feat marked just the third time this season on the Pro Circuit a women’s player has captured both titles in the same tournament.

WTT announces season dates, new playoff format

The 2008 World TeamTennis regular season will be held July 3-23, League officials announced today. Now in its 33rd season, the WTT Pro League has teams in ten markets. For the 2008 season, five teams will advance to the WTT Championship Weekend, July 25-27, to battle for the King Trophy.
