Building A Tennis Community

Shared Goals Grow Tennis!

Building A Tennis Community (BTC) provides tremendous benefits and customer service to clubs, park and recreation agencies, schools and other program providers. Through this unique partnership, USTA Middle States creates opportunities to earn cash back for equipment, uniforms, travel, program support, etc., for participating members.

How it works?
BTC allows USTA Middle States to collaborate with sites so that they will incorporate the cost of a USTA membership in to their annual dues or in to specific program fees. Through the sale of USTA membership, BTC re-allocates funds back to a specific facility through customized benefits to the organization or its individual members.

What are the benefits provided by USTA Middle States to partners?

  • Equipment support
  • Marketing and advertising support
  • Uniforms/Apparel
  • Eligible for program grants
  • Increased program offerings for membership
  • Staff support through Tennis Service Representatives
  • US Open Tickets

Flexibilty breeds success
BTC is certainly not a “one-size fits all” concept because each site has different priorities and current conditions that need to be considered. Partnership packages are “tailor made” for each facility based on the number of memberships that have been purchased and the length of the commitment.

USTA MS piloted the program in 2007 reaching out to a havetest market of facilities and the results  been outstanding. Through the first two years of the initiative, the section has received commitments from ten facilities, totaling more than 700 memberships.

What they're saying?
“This partnership has set us apart from other clubs in our area and given us added credibility. I also believe that partnering with USTA Middle States keeps Courtside informed with what events and programs are occurring in our area and allows us to stay on the cutting edge of developmental and instructional programs in tennis, and provide our members with the latest and greatest opportunities that one of the game’s premier organization has to offer.”
Bruce Levine, General Manager
Courtside Racquet Club

“NJTL of Trenton was thrilled to partner with USTA Middle States on the Building a Tennis Community membership program. We strongly support the USTA mission and are pleased to include a membership for some of our after-school program participants. With the addition of the local equipment benefits that the section provided, this was truly a win-win opportunity for both organizations.”
Dan Faber, Executive Director
NJTL of Trenton
